Organizational Restructuring and Advances in Ministries
On July 27th, 2016, the Holy Synod of Bishops met for its second quarterly meeting to make some advances toward increasing our presence and project the Gospel. During the meeting, the Synod suppressed two diocese - Texas and New York. But it also expanded the use of missionary territories by creating two missionary diocese jurisdictions: one called the Missionary Diocese of the Southeast and the other of the Northeast. The Synod then included the State of Texas within the Missionary Diocese of the Midwest. Also during that meeting the Synod incardinated Bishop Robert D. Hall, of Leander, Texas, assigning him to the Diocese of the Uniformed Services to increase our ministry to police and fire personnel. Bishop Hall brings with him over 20 years of experience as a career law enforcement officer and chaplain. As a group we could not be more happy with these developments! Stay tuned.
